Delete the entire knock-out draw first (see link in the sidebar).
After deleting the knock-out draw, the start button will be activated.

Add players after the draw

If you want to replace a current player in the knock-out system with a new player, but the new player is not yet in the player list, enter the new player here. Then, in the editing mode of the knock-out system, select the new player in the corresponding field.

You can find the button to enable editing mode directly below the knock-out bracket.
